College Campuses and Planned Parenthood

From reading the mission statement provided by Planned Parenthood on their website, one may experience a feeling of security. They believe in equality and individual choice, there are no discriminations and people can go there to deal with problems they may be having in a safe and responsible manner.

There have been several controversies in Planned Parenthood's past, but despite their difficulties, many supporters have stood up to keep Planned Parenthood in business as an option to those who may have no where else to go.

An example of someone's willingness to sacrifice their own lives to help others would be Margaret Sanger. She challenged the law by criminally distributing contraceptives.

Planned Parenthood is also seen as an asset to the College lifestyle.

Michigan State University Sophomore Jessica Davis said, "I think that having a Planned Parenthood near MSU is great because as girls new to college, we often make reckless decisions and its nice knowing that there is somewhere we can go that is safe to learn more about the situation we got ourselves into. Also the fact that they sell a morning after pill at a discounted price to college students is helpful, because just being here a year a half, I know girls who have needed that assistance and it was convenient for them.
