Federal Funding cuts for Planned Parenthood

There had been plans to cut federal funding aid to Planned Parenthood which was passed in the House but failed to pass Senate.

There are many reasons behind the motivation for government officials decision to cut federal funding, one of them being the fact that fetal material was uncovered in a dumpster behind an abortion clinic that Planned Parenthood referred their clients to, according to Dr. Richard Wampler, Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Michigan State University.  


Those facilities were closed upon a judges ruling on November 7th this year.

There was also a documentary done with hidden cameras that exposed a Planned Parenthood facility in New Jersey of aiding a pimp in his efforts to run a sex ring.

Among these reasons to cut federal funding, there are still supporters of the organization and Wampler said he believes that in the event Federal Funding is cut, supports will continue to donate to the organization in order to keep it running.

Although the House voted to cut Federal Funding, there were still representatives who opposed the amendment to Title X. One of those representatives being Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Calif., who admitted a secret she had told hardly anyone up until the day of the vote.
